This is not a too left/too right/too centrist substantive policy thing. It's shit process, shit public policy, and obvious and blatant pandering. Offering real regulation rather than pablum has no downside I can see. They choose pablum.

I feel lighter and brighter than I have in a long time, despite the sorrow and tears. No doubt it will be a difficult few months, detangling and figuring out where to from here, but I'm doing okay (for now). There is now a sense of calm and peace that I haven't felt in some time.
