I feel like the sheer amount of people that give into this feeling is not unique, and it's how most people have worked throughout history. I also think it's probably one of the biggest causes for community rot, I think it's an evil emotion to give yourself over to for any extended period of time.

By all means, hold people who do bad things accountable, but many out there go into genuine blood frenzies, that live off that sweet sweet catharsis of being able to be absolutely wretched to people who've done wrong and therefore, are an "acceptable target".

I just wish more people would try to choose genuine kindness. Not the fake kind of "always positive :)" bs, but like, the amount of people that so easily give into the catharsis of being caustic towards "acceptable targets" in a community just kinda sucks, I don't think it's healthy for people.
