OK, so I have made my MIT CODE Submission public on my github (link in the next post) My paper wonders if we could a heavy tailed prior _and_ closed form posteriors. Turns out, you can stack a bunch of conjugate priors in a trench coat and have something pretty close!

I’ve always wanted to be able to run JAX programs on my Mac’s GPU, so I built a custom JAX backend for Apple GPUs using Claude. It’s early days, so I’m sure there will be many sharp edges, but I’m pretty happy with it so far! Check it out: github.com/dfm/jax-graft
