Four shots in .74 seconds. In reaction time, that's essentially one decision to fire. The plastic bag argument is a red herring. It had nothing to do with it. The threats to kill, chasing as his buddy fired a gun, cornering & lunging for the gun was the reason.
Show PostRittenhouse was only legally allowed to carry a long gun in WI. AR15s are the most popular long gun sold in the US. It's a perfectly valid self-defense weapon. Usually for home defense, since carrying a long gun around is typically a hassle.

Rittenhouse didn't cross state lines with a firearm. The rifle was always stored in Kenosha, WI with the owner, Dominick Black. This fact was acknowledged during the opening statements of the trial by ADA Binger & confirmed by the Antioch PD and the Lake County SAO.
