All the Mac computers in the lab across the hall just got remotely locked by IT, in the middle of everyone working. Random "What the [expletive]" and similar. (Apparently the machines weren't running the latest OS and apparently everyone had been warned. Not my research group so just a spectator.)
Postu gösterSo, Chiron. Charles Kowal first noticed 2060 Chiron on 1 November 1977. At first everyone treated it as a plain asteroid. Then in 1989 it suddenly developed a coma and started behaving like a comet. Now it officially counts as both: minor planet and comet 95P/Chiron. 🔭🧪⚛️ #planetsci #histsci

Postu gösterI went to replace the toilet and there were at least 3 broken flanges under there, rusty and covered in the wax from the ring. This meant the toilet couldn't rest on the floor properly, so they built an inch high stack of plumbers caulk and plastic shims under the toilet
