Postu gösterCompromise. Add the pathing system but make it session-only. If someone saves and reloads, the character will simply already be at their destination. Also, make each path predetermined and ignore all collisions. Still more work but not nearly as much as a full system with collision-reactive NPCs.
Postu gösteri'm at a pretty stupid game design crossroads right now in that it is totally unnecessary (and can even be frustrating in this type of adventure game) but I reeeeaally want my NPCs walk and path towards their various scheduled day/night areas as opposed to just teleporting
