As I approach the shop Doug arrives in his car. He lifts the lid of the box and I get the papers out. The shopkeeper says ‘Monday again!’ Her colleague says ‘Another day!’ Doug says ‘Good point on Saturday!’ Then he tells he me went to the cricket club for Sunday dinner and you get three Yorkshires.

Postu gösterI get to the shop and The Sunday Lad is sorting the papers. We greet each other and a transaction is completed. We don’t say much but our language has rhythm and purpose and a kind of minimal poetry.
