    I think there is a non-trivial possibility that Trump will up and quit, especially if there is a credible impeachment threat. He is disassociating from politics. He only wants to talk about construction. He may just decide, "screw it, I'm 80, why do I care anymore." Trump has quit a lot in life.

    There's insatiable interest in determining whether the polls "worked", so I tried to put my $0.02 in a (very nerdy meme). All pollshave biases, but what's more important is what they are for: helping campaigns plan strategy. Polls capture how people feel now, not what they will do in the future.

    Some dubious causal inferences in my feeds today from some of us in the poli sci community -- data centers and trump rallies purportedly causing increases in Dem vote shares. Maybe it's all in fun, but I think that as scientists we should know better and share more responsibly /nag

    1. Trump doesn't care at all about the Republican Party. In fact, he'll probably would like to see them loose big in 2028, so he can argue that the party always depended on him (see his response to the Midterms). He might think that his legacy is actually served by a Republican defeat.
