    In one month, when this goes into effect, every girl athlete in the state of WA will get hit with this, and I guarantee you most of their parents will think they were exempt. It's going to be chaos. It's exactly what Heywood wants, which is enshrine transphobia while damaging girls's sports.

    Key part: "verifies the student's biological sex, relying only on one or more of the following: The student's reproductive anatomy, genetic makeup, or normal endogenously produced testosterone levels." None of these are part of a standard physical. They can't just show a birth certificate.

    And that is tailor-made for all the center-left aging liberals in the Seattle area who may say they're all for trans rights for adults, buuuuut what about kids and sports and blah blah blah. The thing is, they almost 100% certainly believe their daughters won't be affected, and they're wrong.

    I would love to be wrong here! Especially the part where King County had a 53% turnout? Appalling. Embarrassing. Complacency manifest. So let's say this garbage passes. What's next? Well, many people will tell you it won't hold up in court, and I'm one of them.
