We are still however trying to see if we can assess the dynamics also more directly from the data. I will have a look at whether DSA could be helpful here!

We discuss Qian et al. in our paper and have student teacher setups (appendix) where we are able to recover non-fixed point dynamics when the teacher has transient dynamics. My guess is that with 1000s of units across 10_000s of single trials we are in a different regime.

Postu gösterIt was a great pleasure having Mitchell explain his work on Dynamical Similarity Analysis to our lab. We learned a lot and got some new ideas about how to look at our datasets.
