It was a slog for me just to index the pages for Chrysostom's homilies on Ephesians in GA 1817 (BAV, Vat. gr. 551). Imagine how the scribe felt copying it!

Any idea what is going on with IIIF images being served to @biblissima.bsky.social ? Worth noting, anyway, that if a MS doesn't load in Biblissima's excellent portal and viewer, it doesn't necessarily mean it's completely offline.

I shared this All (or at least Many) Saints image for St. Denis' day last year, but it's worth resharing for All Saints'. NB: The MS is not loading at Biblissima though it loads at Gallica. Direct link: gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/b... MSS at other repositories seem to load fine at Biblissima.

These gilded bronze letters and punctuation marks were discovered within the ruins of the forum of the ancient Roman city of Singilia Barba (near modern Málaga, Spain). They're still attached to their anchor studs and must have part of the monumental epigraphy on a large public monument. 🏺 1/ 📸 me
