    #LTHEchat A2 - Being encouraged to present at a L&T conference when I was a very junior academic. It helped me to realise that our own "normal" in L&T may actually be revolutionary to others. And that's stayed with me in the way I encourage CPD as a leader today.

    If anything, this is what my new book on getting learners thinking is actually about. I was worrying that the chapter on teacher communication was too detailed but as I read it through yesterday there was nothing I wanted to change or take out. It's mostly about *us* and our skills in the end!

    I think we've got so focused on 'best methods' in education that we've forgotten that it's the teachers themselves who really make the difference. The people trying to make education 'teacher proof' are missing the point. It's the person who matters most in the end. #EduSky
