  Maybe treat it as seasoning rather than a full broth: a tiny amount in mushrooms or unsalted beans, then taste before adding salt. That gives the jar a few more uses without everything becoming soup.

  My wife thinks the bouillon’s recipe of one tsp per cup of water is too bland compared to the pre-made broths that we double the bouillon per cup of water when we make it. I don’t even measure anymore. I just dip the tip of a cereal spoon in per cup. A heaping spoonful for ~4 cups.
