    It still made it on a slide being show to thousands at comic con, meaning that no one higher up on the production reviewed that material before it was shown publicly. So even if it was one person that didn't have an impact on the final designa, it's still an insanely bad look to have that there

    The fears I saw weren't that the artwork itself was ai generated, but that chatgpt was being used instead of consulting experts or texts for cultural research and this does very little to dissuade those fears

    so, /yes/, AI was used as the slide described - as a replacement for genuine cultural consultation. we have nothing but your word it was only used for this once. the slide was completely accurate and truthful in its description of AI use, not "snuck in by some anonymous jackass" very disappointing.
