I just finished it yesterday (haven't seen the film yet) and "competence porn" is such a perfect term. It's a wonderful fantasy, and a welcome one during our current horror show of incompetence and evil, but requires a huge amount of suspension of disbelief.

My first audiobook of the new year. It’s a history of the last native Americans in the U.S. the author focuses on a handful of native nations (tribes) to tell the larger story of native peoples, how they influenced US history & are still here in the present. Thanks NY Public Library. #booksky
