Just a boring guy sharing his opinions which are based on nothing but the thoughts in my head. Take them if ya want. Ignore them if they don't matter. Call them out if they come across hateful, ignorant, or dangerous. For my part, I do try to be mindful.

If you like that definitely check out Hard Boiled. Fantastic action flick that still stands up today.

I just finished it yesterday (haven't seen the film yet) and "competence porn" is such a perfect term. It's a wonderful fantasy, and a welcome one during our current horror show of incompetence and evil, but requires a huge amount of suspension of disbelief.

Robeson's mix of art and courage still hits, and going from Here I Stand to the screen is a perfect BHM cap. As a queer YA author, I think about voices like his when I write.

My first audiobook of the new year. It’s a history of the last native Americans in the U.S. the author focuses on a handful of native nations (tribes) to tell the larger story of native peoples, how they influenced US history & are still here in the present. Thanks NY Public Library. #booksky
