    I'll be writing more about this later, but the fact that there are no ICE (or other armed) federal agents at the polls and no federal takeover of elections is not because we are "lucky" or our system is "strong:" it took a ton of hard work from lawyers, election administrators and civil society.

    Political media, including journalists and personalities and commentators, both consciously and unconsciously know this is a high engagement day that can affect their reach and platforms. The algorithms spur this on. If you choose to scroll, you're going to be inundated by the flood of content.

    Campaigns are constantly belching forth "updates" that are just trying to spin the environment, push PR narratives for wins and losses, and attempt to spur people to the polls. You don't have to read these, you don't have to live and die with them, you can vote and then watch the returns.
