I had a million plans, but even the "if all else fails I can always X" ones fell apart on me. I could've still done Uruguay or stalled leaving Brazil a bit longer, but it was time to cut my losses.

Idk how long I'll be here, I'd like to go to a blue state, live with a friend/partner, or even save back up for a more focused attempt at South Africa or Brazil or somewhere. But those are long term ideas, for now I really need work.

Voir le postWith the information I had at the time, I'm still not sure it was a bad risk to take. In hindsight this was a catastrophe, but I don't know that I'd call it a bad idea, still . And at least I got to see a lot of cool places and stuff and friends. And the yearlong breather was really nice.
