Analyzing Bike Share data along the 19km of bike lanes that Ford is promising to rip out shows us that over 1.15 million riders have taken trips. If we assume that this is 12% of all micro-mobility ridership, we can estimate that there were almost 10 million rides this year!

You're conflating neighborhood desirability with housing scarcity. New amenities can make a neighborhood more attractive. But people with money don't need a new apartment building to move into a desirable neighborhood, they can simply outbid existing residents for the limited housing already there.
