America has a lot of self-pitying consumerists who claim to be economically oppressed and then claim “the system” is failed because concert tickets are expensive or something. Hardly any attention on exploitation abroad (that’s necessary for our American lifestyles)—not a coincidence!

My day job (understanding how rents are set so that I can imagine and push for policies that push rents down) doesn’t make sense if the point is strictly to bend price trajectories. The rents don’t know they exist. The houses don’t know they exist either.
