Trist. Vondt. Men mens politi og politikere plutselig er opptatt av hva som er lovlig inngripen og ikke, og er sykt forsiktige, hadde det antakelig vært lurt å 1) prøve å finne *årsakene* til at ungdom drifter mot nazismen og 2) etablere gode ungdomsklubber overalt. (Fra NRK.)

There was a line from an urban legend when I was a kid that read "She has become as she was always meant to be." I think about it a lot when I look back at who I was and who I am now. Transition, gryphons, fighting for human rights. I was a scared child, then I became who I was always meant to be.

My Tumble inbox is full of public messages like this. I'm never sure what to think of being called cool, but if you'd told 13 year old me "There's a transfemme author who has written a ton of gryphon books in a series with cool bird+cat combos," I'd have begged to know how to become just like her.

Meanwhile ppl actually living in these spaces and being pushed out are left to navigate on their own while ppl online just convince themselves everything's great with social scripts, optics and platitudes. They won't care until it's them in the situation and then they'll just quietly conform.
