The first email I saw in my inbox this week was a thank you note from someone who had read one of my academic articles, which helped her know what to say when her friend was sexually assaulted. That’s exactly why we wrote it. I’m always thrilled to hear it worked out for someone.

This is really simple, but I think it’s important to state: Banning frat parties keeps the structure of a fraternity in tact. It’s part of why the parties will “just move off campus.” It is VERY different from banning rush and dismantling the organizations.
