    🫂🫂🫂 this is a v personally motivated belief of mine as my parents were terrible messes and still are but children do not owe their parents anything. you didn’t ask to be their kid and sounds like you definitely did and endured more for them than any kid should have to.

    parents owe their kids support (and not just until 18, for life), and choosing anyone or anything over your own kid is honestly insane to me. if he’s not making your life better at all to have around, there’s no valor in suffering with him.

    i’ll let my parents back into my life when they prove to me that they can act right. it makes me sad that that may never happen but it’s not my responsibility to help them figure shit out that i managed to figure out all alone without their support. family is only family if they act like it imo
