  owners and hotel conglomerates to justify taxpayers taking in the full burden for the upgrades. I feel it’s another case of wealthy billionaires taking all they can from taxpayers.

  directly benefit from the Moda Center and most can’t even afford to attend the events there these days. Meanwhile the billionaires that own these places are raking in profits. Maybe the local bars near the center benefit and some hotels, but I don’t see the benefit to taxpayers aside from bar

  I understand what happening, it was more of a general question. We are going through something similar in Portland, OR with the Moda Center. The owner doesn’t want to contribute anything to the upgrades because he has the investment in the team. So tax payers foot the bill but taxpayers don’t
