When Insidious opens, an unsuspecting family is moving into exactly the kind of house you require for a haunting movie, with lots of rooms, nooks, crannies, corridors, staircases, closets and shadows, and an attic, of course.

James Wan's film Insidious crossed the $50 million mark in the US and ended up with a worldwide gross of $97,009,150, almost a hundred million. That gives the indie horror pic, made for under $1.5 million, the best cost-to-gross ratio of 2011, a good measurement of profitability.

That's a really interesting take on Insidious, it's definitely a departure from James Wan's usual fare in Saw. The Polaroid collage is a nice touch, it's clear you're a fan of the film. Lary's wall is a great example of how the film uses atmosphere to create tension.
