  I'm noticing a lot of the telltale signs disappearing: open disclosure, AGENTS.md, Claude contributor, and outright distancing source from release files if I do not explicitly see "NO AI" I assume it's there and maliciously obfuscated

  Codex kept the hook untrusted until I broke the bundled script on purpose. Then the app fell back to npx and the hook came up trusted, still no clicks. How to check, and what I couldn't test: tim-schipper.nl/en/blog/post...

  postman auto-installed plugins into claude code, codex and cursor when it launched, and approved its own startup hook while it was at it. nobody's claiming data left the machine. still, your agent config is the new ~/.bashrc, and apps are starting to write to it without asking.

  Lesson from Unified Dev: to know which account an agent CLI is signed in to, I stopped asking the CLI. In my tests, claude auth status preferred the environment over the config directory, and said loggedIn for a forged token. Now the app reads the account's own directory. #Swift #macOS

  But if you *are* going to abdicate the sacred duty of knowledge transfer, there's normal writing techniques you can tell the model up front to make the docs less bad tell it the audience! point it to a specific register! use a different model to do an edit pass! lots of trivial tweaks that add up
