And I haven't done the math on it, but well over half of the new Dem House caucus is going to be folks who took office after Trump's first inauguration. The folks whose frame of reference for governance is the pre-Trump status quo are going to be decisively outnumbered, and for the first time.

(If my math is right, just under 25 percent of both House and Senate Dems will be new arrivals next year, though I guess Sherrod Brown is an asterisk next to that latter number.)

Ossoff's telling Collins to his face that he "hired half the Third Reich to staff [his] congressional office" was a great debate moment, but it's also a necessary precursor for the aggressive pursuit of accountability and consequences that's going to be vitally necessary in the coming years.
