I worry about this, all the time. University research is the economic engine that powers our future. Every dollar spent in academic research fuels innovations, industries, businesses. If an adversary wanted to undo America’s prosperity, this is the starting point.
Ver postI swear there are politicians who are good at their jobs and care very deeply and are not dirtbags. We should choose people like that, not pretend that good work can only be done by someone who is disdainful of the entire concept of the role and their future colleagues.

I want to elect someone who understands that job and is good at it and also is not a dirtbag. We have seen how catastrophic it is to make “not a politician” the priority over “not a dirtbag.”
