i am not a game developer and likely will not ever be (its hard and i'm lazy) but if i was i'd love to make a game that was like, a mid-00s style crpg (kotor/vtmb/neverwinter nights 2 era) with the aesthetic of a sci-fi tinged ps3 jrpg
Ver posti do miss the days where jrpgs had a bunch of different clashing fonts for their battle ui. everyone made fun of them but it was kinda sick. soul vs soulless
Ver postanother idle thought from the ff15 replay: the fontwork in this game is so good and distinct even though it is well into the minimalist hud era. shout out to games with good fonts what's a game with good fonts these days

As much as I am a remake hater I actually respect the "I just think it's neat" argument more like *I do not think it's neat*, but I'm me and you're you so w/e. The framing of this as some noble way to share an important piece of art is sucks ass, like cropping a classic movie for tiktok.
