Leaf mine on Weasel's Snout Misopates orontium today, nr Upton, Hampshire. Nothing on the underside as far as I could see. Only UK mine on Misopates I can find online is Chromatomyia horticola. Any advice @vc28nature.bsky.social? 🙏

This will be the coolest thing you see all week! This is a female copepod from the order Monstrilloida. These are parasitic copepods and what you seen here is a free-swimming adult, that doesn’t feed, and she’s carrying eggs! What a beautiful green they are too! #marineplankton 🦑🔬
