Stereotype humor in particular is something that isn't ever funny, if you're in a group you've heard all the stereotypes and you're sick of people bringing them up, bigots actively weaponize them and it prevents them from actually seeing people as individuals.
Post anzeigenI think that's why Family Guy clones like Paradise PD, Universal Basic Guys, and Brickleberry get ignored outside of just blanket "yeah this show sucks" reactions. Because they're trying to be edgy, that's the point, but it's so lazy and it's all been done before and it's not funny.
Post anzeigenAlso, not liking dark humor doesn't mean I find it offensive. Dark humor needs to be edgy AND funny, being edgy doesn't necessarily make it funny. Anyone can say something offensive or show something disgusting for cheap shock value, you need to be actually funny to make it work.
