Post anzeigenThe stat I remember from Francis Halzen's talk was that you have, on average, one neutrino hit in your body in your lifetime. (Likely based on scaling down a neutrino detector & only counting interactions that would be detected.) When he gave this number, he quipped: "The second one kills you."
Post anzeigenDepending on how you do the estimate, you can get different numbers for how many of the neutrinos passing through your body actually hits something (which still wouldn't be noticeable), in your lifetime. Numbers I've seen range from a few dozen to less than one. Depends on things like energy ranges.
