df_game_data v1.0.1 released! github.com/Atrix256/df_... * Adds C language support, to go along with the C++ support it already had. * Adds option to obfuscate your .bin file. It xors it against a one time pad on save and on load. df_game_data is a solution for read only game data.

(In case you're worried, any neutrinos managing to interact within your body will still do essentially nothing. You'd have to go to a LOT of trouble to be harmed in any way by neutrinos. But @xkcd.com has a nice explanation here if you want to know what that would look like. what-if.xkcd.com/73/)

The stat I remember from Francis Halzen's talk was that you have, on average, one neutrino hit in your body in your lifetime. (Likely based on scaling down a neutrino detector & only counting interactions that would be detected.) When he gave this number, he quipped: "The second one kills you."

Depending on how you do the estimate, you can get different numbers for how many of the neutrinos passing through your body actually hits something (which still wouldn't be noticeable), in your lifetime. Numbers I've seen range from a few dozen to less than one. Depends on things like energy ranges.

How rare are neutrino interactions? A neutrino (of the type emitted by the Sun) could go through a light year of lead with only a small chance of interacting. They pass through the Earth, and each of us, constantly, without anyone noticing. 100 trillion neutrinos go through you every second.
