Post anzeigenTo know where on the eye the point of light would be imaged, we simultaneously recorded the eye position (laterally only). This was tricky. We used the limbus of the eye (dark/light boundary). With a fibre-optic set-up we illuminated the limbus with IR light and captured the amount reflected.
Post anzeigenAnyway. To display an image with enough spatial & temporal precision we used oscilloscopes - the ones that HP were making for air traffic control. You drive these by supplying 2 voltages (X & Y) to move the beam to a point on the screen and then a logic unblank pulse that turned the cathode on/off.
