He was embarrassed, ‘til I pointed out that his parents taught him to speak 2 languages. Year’s end, he could read, and I knew some Spanish.

She chuckled. Then when she past my house and turned around, when we reached it I said, aqui. I might be doing ok.
Post anzeigenI am a couple months into Spanish language classes and man, it’s humbling to be awful at something. Just mistake after mistake after mistake. But it also makes me appreciate the skill of others and the work required to learn something new. Ge out of your comfort zone folks. It’s good for you.

As I was leaving I wrote I was going to lunch and he signed how to do either "lunch" or generic "meal" break. I'm also trying to learn Spanish so I can communicate a little better with my other merchandisers.
