I think this will be my last otherwise it will lose its effect. I have always found the notion of being a positive male role model problematic because in some cases this will be the only time some boys will be held accountable by a woman

I totally agree with this. Something our place seems to be doing is changing who delivers them so that pupils see a united voice so if Mr A delivered to a Y8 last year, maybe this year Mr B or Miss C could and Mr A could do Year 7 instead?

Year 10 set 2 worked on these interleaved problem sheets today. While they are confident with both expanding and factorising, flipping between the two made them slow down and think. A variety of interleaving sheets available all for free resources.themathshabit.co.uk #MathsToday

Bought a HP 12c calculator off someone on fb marketplace, it's a retired nerd whose wife is making him declutter 🤣 I told them I'm a maths teacher who collects old calculating instruments and he gave me a slide rule too! (He tried several times to find it, then his wife went and looked once)
