For modern LEDs, for indoor signaling (or bare PCB) use, from 5v0 rails, you should be a lot closer to 10k-50k than 100-500 ohms, no kidding. Jellybean LEDs are *crazy* efficient now, 10-15mA is like a spotlight, and 1mA is still uncomfortable.

But not enough people realize: A) we are out of $$$ + mostly volunteering b) YOUR group can claim the Mothbox by just hiring us to keep working!
