Black voters are driving the early voting surge in the South because they won’t be silenced. After the SCOTUS Callias decision, Republicans wasted no time gerrymandering to weaken Black voting power. Now some of those safe red districts are shifting left & looking a lot more competitive. Oops.

Dems are gonna bring to the polls a lot of highly educated people who turn out for every single election and increasingly an advantage among high-education seniors. Low propensity voters tend to tune out depressing, high-conflict races esp when Trump is not on the ballot.

Re: the disgusting Vivek ad — I think Republicans have been trained for generations to run disgusting, disspiriting negative campaigns because usually the way it worked is that lower turnout advantaged conservatives as a lot of core Dem groups were marginal voters.
