NYC is the *least* multicultural when it comes to Indigenous peoples: “I’m Oglala.” What’s that? “I’m Chicano.” What’s that? “We’re Yup’ik, Inupiaq, O’odham, Rarámuri, Tulalip … Lenape?” Even in NYC they don’t know who the Lenape are. You’re on their land! New York is ancestral Lenape land! 🤦🏽‍♂️
