(And yes those ideas do still come up all the time: last time I saw something talking about treating an alleged “fear of exercise” in people with ME was literally 2 days ago)

Two particularly notable things that stand out to me in Beth’s story: - Both her triggering infections were almost entirely asymptomatic - She is an *Olympic athlete* which leaves absolutely no room for those recurring ideas that it’s all down to “not trying hard enough” or “fear of exercise” 🙄
