The last couple of days on Scilly included a trip to Tresco yesterday, with distant views of the Surf Scoter and finally connecting with Yellow-browed Warbler, and today Firecrest, 3 Lapland Buntings, Wheatears, great views of Jack Snipe, and the Isabelline Shrike again (now more elusive)

Scillies in Oct lived up to expectations. RE Vireo on St Agnes (+ L Stints x2). Black Redstart, Wilson's Snipe & Sora Rail were the highlights on St Mary's. Also Pec Sand, Sanderlings, a Wheatear & lots of Gannets, Swallows & Greenshanks #Scillybirds + 200+ plastic items removed. Fab

St Mary's, Scillies. My first ever wild Stick Insect near Rocky Hill, on the 3rd attempt. It's upside down. Good views of the Sora & Water Rails from SH, Porthellick pool + 7+ Swallows & 6 Greenshanks in the cove. Another lovely day #Scillybirds
