Yep. But probably not in the same career. And not for the same money. If Kroger is doing this now, other chains will likely watch them, learn from their mistakes, and do the same. Then it's not a few hundred jobs at one employer, it's several thousand similar positions at similar employers.

This normally takes a team of coders, writers, and artists months at a minimum. If you were a company, why would you still hire a team?
