lol Honestly if you learn how to parry, it'll be smoother sailing. That part took me a bit, and found out that you have to hold down parry during the full bubble animation or it doesn't register, I was very irate lol
Show PostUse the whip, it's like the meat and potatoes of the combat, especially early on, and also when it gets hairy you have to dodge and parry projectiles if you're in a tight space Find the weapons you feel fits your style, and outside of a few bossfights, you'll be great for most of the game
Show PostThe jumping puzzles, like, keep at it, eventually your brain sorta gets it and muscle memory kicks in. But yeah for a mainline game series it's ridiculously complex sometimes lol Combat~ I think the whip mechanic needs tuning because sometimes it'll whiff, and they def let RNG go nuts with bosses
Show PostGeeked out hard, almost there baby~ Anyway, outside of a couple of small gripes with combat, I loved it, was frankly way more engaging than I was expecting, and it's actually pretty extensive and rewards exploring No spoilers, def worth the time, it's fun and gets your brain going when it clicks
Show Post[No spoilers] Weekended tf out of Castlevaniaaa, apparently there's a true ending so few more things to grind~ And okay, I get needing to modernize combat, but fuck fighting game mechanics in adventure games, they gave some bosses a command grab with the biggest hitbox, was absolutely raging lol
