On Monday, our dog Jake had a fibrocartilaginous embolism (FCE) AKA a spinal stroke. In the span of an hour he went from running after a ball to completely paralyzed in his back legs. He spent two nights at the vet hospital and is back home with us.

He stands a chance at making a recovery and we’re doing intensive home physical therapy to see if he can regain any function. It’s basically a coin flip. We’ll know in the next week or so whether it’ll be successful or not. I’m hoping for the best.
