today marks the beginning and end of my public engagement with this topic. just a waste of brain juices tbh.
Show PostJust to be explicit in face of current topic: I don't use AI and stand by what I decided for myself when all this started: everyone relying on AI makes my job (developing unexpected games) a lot easier.
Show PostThe process is the whole point. There are no shortcuts. Writing the same piece of boilerplate a hundred times is good for you, actually. Relying on tech you don't control is a trap. The people who control it are genuinly evil. It's all stolen. Using it literally makes you stupid. Etc etc
Show PostFinally, another sane person
Show PostThe last few years have made me so weirdly thankful that I never got "in" the main industry when I was trying. I would have quit it because of this kind of thing, or one of the thousands of others before it.
