He left because he didn’t get the response he was expecting. El-Sayed exposed his ignorance in a straightforward, calm manner which he wasn’t expecting. His friend slunk out with him.

3) this is yet another instance of Vance treating a native-born but nonwhite American as if they are foreign born. 4) it is vance who should be greatful that anyone ever bothered to treat him like he might do some good in the world (they were wrong of course)

JD Vance’s not so subtle point is that the United States belongs to white Christian men, and the rest of us who don’t meet all three qualifications only belong here insofar as our betters choose to tolerate us.
