The usual suspects are claiming that this is an Islamist massacre. But the RSF is actually a secular and even anti-Islamist force. The reason the UAE supports them is because the RSF and UAE havbe a common enemy in islamist movements derived from the muslim brotherhood.

The RSF built trenches around the city, to trap and funnel civilians trying to escape into kill zones to be murdered. This is giving me flashbacks to when I read through the Bosnian genocide tribunal. The Serbs did the EXACT same thing in Srebrenica.
