Spent the day enjoying LA on a bicycle, trekking from my front door in Little Tokyo to Echo Park Lake & back on mostly car-free streets. CicLAvia is always an energizing reminder of what we’re fighting for in LA: a better city that takes better care of all of us.

There is a poetry to LA that can only truly be consumed on foot or bike or anything other than a car. I ran into folks I hadn’t seen in months, took in more of the graffiti of the Second St Tunnel, & visited stores & businesses I’d never noticed before.
