Holy smoke: Worshippers at the shrine of St Frideswide, Oxford’s patron saint, have been evacuated after the amount of incense used at her annual patronal festival set off fire alarms at Christ Church Cathedral. Tonight’s service was transferred from her saint’s day yesterday (also Oxfordshire Day).

Yesterday we walked 19 miles from Ledbury to Gloucester, mainly following the Ledsta and Staglo routes from @slowwaysuk.bsky.social. A corker of a day out. We've now walked from our hometown to the three closest cities of Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester.
