The thing that breaks my heart is the extra - but unacknowledged - effort the undiagnosed dyslexic/autistic etc children need to put in every day, every hour just to more or less keep up. Being recognised as ND can be a huge relief.

In grad school I learned you can't really empower other people, you can just try to create a more empowering environment. There aren't "voiceless people", just people who rarely get the mic. Etc.

I don’t care whether there are valid use cases for LLMs. I know for certain that any such use cases are not in education or humanities academia, both of which LLMs undermine in fundamental ways. Techies need to learn the humility to accept that they don’t know how to “optimize” everyone else’s jobs.
